Your District Deserves a Phone System That Actually Works

You have campuses spread across the district, aging infrastructure, and a phone system held together with workarounds. You do not need another sales pitch. You need someone who gets it.

Why Maverick

Built to Fit K-12, Not the Vendor Playbook

You are juggling E-rate, bond funding, CMAS contracts, and a district office that wants answers yesterday. Meanwhile, every vendor in your inbox swears they are the perfect fit. We have spent 22+ years working inside these constraints, not around them. We know what procurement actually looks like, we know your IT team is already buried, and we bring 200+ suppliers to the table with zero quota pressure. One partner who handles it all so you can get back to everything else on your plate.

We Know Your World

The Challenges You Deal With Every Day

  • 01 "Half our handsets are dead and the vendor discontinued our model three years ago."
  • 02 "We have 24 sites and no idea if our 911 routing is even accurate. Nobody on my team has time to audit it."
  • 03 "We got board approval two years ago. Procurement still has not moved."
  • 04 "I have four vendors saying the same thing. I just want someone who will tell me the truth."
  • 05 "I am the IT department. I cannot take on a district-wide phone rollout on top of everything else."

Sound Familiar?

You Do Not Have to Figure This Out Alone

Every one of these is something a real IT director has said to us. They are not signs you are behind. They are signs you need a partner, not another vendor. A 30-minute call with our team will give you clarity on your options and an honest path forward.

How We Help

What Working with Maverick Actually Looks Like

We handle the parts you do not have time for, so your team can focus on running the district.

Supplier-Neutral Guidance

We do not sell phone systems. We compare 200+ suppliers and tell you which one actually fits your district, your budget, and your infrastructure.

Procurement Made Simple

Whatever contract vehicle fits your district — CMAS, NASPO ValuePoint, OMNIA Partners, or bond-funded purchases. We know which one to use and handle the paperwork so the project actually moves.

E911 and Campus Safety

Kari's Law and RAY BAUM's Act compliance, configured from day one. Every building, every wing, every classroom with accurate 911 location data.

End-to-End Coordination

Number porting, call flows, cutover planning, go-live across every campus. Our Ops team runs the project so yours does not have to.

One Point of Contact

No more chasing three different reps for answers. One partner who knows your district and manages all of it.

Long-Term Partnership

Most partners disappear after go-live. We stay for escalations, system changes, and renewals. Same team, same number.

Campus Safety

Requirements You Cannot Afford to Miss

E911 compliance is not a checkbox you address at the end of an implementation. For districts with multiple school sites, accurate location data can be the difference between a fast emergency response and a dangerous delay. We build it in from day one.

E911 compliance for K-12 school phone systems
Federal Law

Kari's Law

Requires multi-line phone systems to allow direct 911 dialing without a prefix and send a notification to designated staff when a 911 call is made. Critical for schools where front office teams need immediate awareness of any emergency call on campus.

Federal Law

RAY BAUM's Act

Requires that the dispatchable location, meaning the specific building, floor, wing, or room, be transmitted with every 911 call. Essential for multi-site districts where first responders need to know exactly which school and which part of that school the call is coming from.

How It Works

From First Call to Go-Live And Beyond

No mystery, no surprises. Here is exactly what happens when you work with us.

1

Discovery

We ask about your current setup, what is breaking, what your budget looks like, and how procurement works in your district. No generic questionnaire.

2

Evaluation

You get a short list of suppliers that actually fit, with honest trade-offs explained in plain language. Not a pitch deck.

3

Procurement and Contract Support

CMAS, NASPO ValuePoint, OMNIA Partners, bond measures, RFPs. Whatever contract vehicle saves you time, we handle the back and forth with purchasing so you are not stuck as the middleman.

4

Implementation and Go-Live

Our Ops team runs the whole rollout. Number porting, call flows, cutover scheduling, go-live across every site. We have done this hundreds of times and know what breaks.

5

Post Go-Live Support

When something comes up six months later, you call us. Same team, same context. We do not disappear after the install.

What K-12 Leaders Say

Trusted by Organizations Like Yours

Lillie from Maverick Networks was right along the way the entire time and she was super helpful, and really was extremely valuable in this process. What I liked too is that Maverick Networks went into it not really with an agenda; they said, 'Hey, we’re just going to help you find the solution that’s going to best fit your environment and answer any questions that we can.'

David Seabury

Director of IT, El Dorado County Office of Education

From start to finish, we’ve been super happy. Lillie has always been great on the sales side. The help desk, implementation team—everyone knows our system inside and out, which made each rollout easier. By the end, our implementation calls were five minutes long because it was just ‘same as last time.’ That’s the benefit of working with a dedicated partner.

Kevin Perry

Director of IT, Western Placer Unified School District
